General and Information (POPIA & Privacy Policy) Requirements

• I understand that to submit an application I must be aged between 18 – 55.

• I understand that to submit an application my legal gender must be female.

• I understand that to submit an application I must be a size 38/ UK14 or above, and that if at any time whilst representing Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) as a finalist or titleholder I am not a size 38/ UK14 or above, I will no longer be eligible to compete or hold a title.

• I understand that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, nor does it automatically enable me to compete in Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD). I understand that Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) reserves the right to reject applications based on suitability for the system.

• I understand that should I be selected as a contestant; I will be required to provide a certified copy of my Identity Document, proof of residence and valid passport for travel purposes. The collection of this data is verifying the eligibility of the contestant entering the pageant.

• I understand that all information is given to Miss Voluptuous on a voluntary basis and may be used for the sole purpose of the pageant and ensuring eligibility.

• Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) and all third party service providers without liability take every reasonable step to ensure protection of all user information as the guidelines set out in the POPI ACT (PAIA), PAIA Manual and its Privacy Policy.

• The user reserves a right to have their data removed from the servers on which it is stored by submitting verifiable correspondence to admin@blekkerevents.co.za

• The provided system for Miss Voluptuous South Africa (blekkerevents.co.za) collects information that is stored for an indefinite period on a server that is secure and hosted by

• All information goes through a SSL encrypted service using HTTPS security.

• If the contestant does not possess a valid passport as at the date of signature of this

Agreement, she shall be obliged to apply for such passport as soon as is reasonably possible in 2024 as the contestant may need a passport for the international competition should the contestant win the Miss Voluptuous South Africa Pageant.

• Should I be selected as a finalist, I must provide a police clearance certificate.

• I understand that competition divisions are subject to change based on minimum participation numbers. I also understand that competition dates and locations may also be subject to change at any time, and in such a case, I am not eligible for a refund should I be unable to attend.

• I understand that terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time without notice.

• I understand that any information or photographs I submit to the pageant, including on my application may, in whole or in part, be used for advertising purposes. I understand that in order to opt out of having my full name shared, I must inform the team of an alias I wish to use.

• I understand that if I am selected to represent my country that I may not compete in any other pageants, beauty contests or modelling competitions.

•  I understand that I must look solely to Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) with respect to all matters relating to participation including but not limited to; application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the pageant and holding title.

• I understand that Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTYLTD), its sponsors, associates and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) finals and events, or during travel to and from Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) finals and events.

• I understand that Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) is not responsible or liable for any negligence or fraud committed by pageant sponsors, judges, or contract vendors who may be providing products or services to delegates and winners at the National and International Final.

• I understand that Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) is not responsible or liable for negligence or fraud committed by host accommodation providers.

• I understand that Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) is not responsible or liable for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon me after these items become my property. I agree to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown, sash, trophies, crown case, banner bag or other gifts or prizes.

• The Contestant confirms that she is not an immediate family member of the Miss Voluptuous South Africa and/or BLekker Events PTY LTD Management team.

Financial Requirements

• Each selected contestant will be required to pay an entry and development fee of which goes towards the tailor-made upliftment programme and operating costs.

• The above amount can be sponsored and can be paid in instalments as set out in the Guidelines manual.

• Each contestant must raise funds towards their chosen charity which is compulsory.

• Each contestant must sell tickets for Official Miss Voluptuous South Africa events, which include the High Tea and Final Showcase. The contestants are not required to pay for their own ticket.

• Once Selected as a finalist the contestant must raise funds for the Miss Voluptuous South Africa chosen charity for that year.

• The crown is NOT for sale. All monies raised is NO guarantee the winning of the title of Miss Voluptuous South Africa.

• I understand that if I am unable to fulfil my obligation as a delegate for any reason, fees paid are forfeited and held with the Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker PTY LTD) and cannot carry over under any circumstances. Entry fees are credited for the current pageant year only.

• I understand that no ’14-day Cooling-off Period’ is applicable.

• I understand that if I am unable to fulfil any part of my agreement then Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) will not be required to refund any amount of the fees nor will I be able to continue to wear my crown and sash if such items have been issued.

• I understand that all fees paid to Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) are not refundable and not transferable in full or in part under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, event ticket sales fees, and any other fees paid to Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) by anyone including, but not limited to, delegates, sponsors, and advertisers.

• I understand that there are strict deadlines for payments and that missed payment dates may result in spaces being forfeited. I understand that I must adhere to all deadlines for photographs, payments and contestant information requested by Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD), including but not limited to information requested by partners, sponsors and associates.

• I understand that prizes and other benefits may be subject to change / withdrawal at any time without prior notice. I understand that prizes given by sponsors to prize winners are not the responsibility of Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events) and Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events) cannot be held liable for any sponsor not fulfilling their prizes to winners.

Conduct Requirements

• I understand that by applying, I am confirming that I am a person whose background is not likely to bring the Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) or any person associated with them, into disrepute.

• I understand that my application affirms that I am and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that I have not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the values of a role model or that will reflect unfavourably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or associates.

• I understand that my application affirms that I will conduct myself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the Miss Voluptuous South Africa Final and while representing the system, sponsors, associates or any other third parties involved.

• Contestant must not have been involved in any past activities that may place Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD), its Pageant and/or organisers in a compromised and/or humiliating light both publicly or privately. These activities include, but are not limited to criminality, prostitution, nude public appearances, nude photography and nude videography

• Should this come to light, Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events) reserves the right to revoke the contestants title with immediate effect.

• The Contestant must not have a past or present criminal record or be involved in any criminality of any kind and agrees to provide Miss Voluptuous South Africa with a valid Police clearance certificate before she will be allowed to compete in the final.

• The Contestant must uphold the ethos and values of Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events PTY LTD) and its brand.

• The Contestant should ideally not be or fall pregnant during the journey as a contestant in the pageant. Although Miss Voluptuous South Africa (BLekker Events) promotes family and community values. We do not discriminate against pregnancy, but it is rather a health concern for the contestant and unborn child.  The pageant will be physically strenuous for both the contestant and unborn child to compete in Miss Voluptuous South Africa and at an international level (if she wins Miss Voluptuous South Africa).  Pregnancy health is our main concern.
